I was listening to Preparedness Pro Radio 06-11-2011 this morning. While discussing the misconceptions and truth about hoarding; Kellene Bishop talked about the caution needed when letting your neighbors know about the level of your preparedness. This brought up some interesting questions for me personally.
I’m a “low-key” guy when it comes to my survival preparedness. I believe if I am calm, methodical and “low-key” (laid back, but not lackadaisical) about preparing for disasters the mindset will carry over should the time come to utilize plans, equipment and/or supplies. Because of this none of my surrounding neighbors know anything about my plans. I have one other family unit that knows I am preparing (so are they) but we do not know completely what the other has.
Which leads me to the question…
What do you tell and to whom do you tel it? Why or why not? What are your thoughts on this topic?
